After the passing of baby Ilanzi, her mother donated the clothes prepared for her to an orphanage in Zambia — the first gift in Ilanzi's name, and the seed of everything that followed.
What began as one act of love grew into an annual practice of donating clothing and necessities to orphanages and families in need in Zambia.
Founder Cindy Mukuka Mpundu formalized that lifelong commitment into The Ilanzi Foundation, a registered Colorado Nonprofit Corporation, with a mission to bring light, hope, and opportunity to vulnerable communities — beginning in Zambia.
We are actively building partnerships and programs across our five areas of impact. As projects launch, this page will grow to share real milestones, photos, and the families and communities we serve.

Through the generosity of donors and partners, we provide clothing, shoes, bedding, food, hygiene products, and other essentials to vulnerable children, individuals, and families — bringing immediate relief while preserving dignity.
Education breaks cycles of poverty.
We work to expand educational opportunity by providing school uniforms, textbooks and books, scholarships, technology, and literacy resources that help children and young adults reach their full potential.
Healthy individuals build stronger families and communities.
We help meet essential health needs through mobility equipment, maternal care, and safe water and lighting — and we're especially committed to ensuring girls and women have access to menstrual hygiene products so nothing stands between them and education or opportunity.
Strong communities are built one step at a time.
We partner with trusted local organizations and community leaders to address practical needs — equipping families and communities with the resources to build brighter, more self-sufficient futures.
