Why donate to The Ilanzi Foundation?

Every gift funds humanitarian aid, education, health, and community development for vulnerable children and families in Zambia. As a Colorado-registered nonprofit, we're committed to transparency in how donations create direct, lasting impact.

Is my donation tax-deductible?

Yes. The Ilanzi Foundation is a registered nonprofit, and donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. You'll receive a confirmation for your records after giving.

How is my donation used?

Gifts support five core areas: humanitarian aid, education, health, community development, and support for vulnerable populations in Zambia. Visit our Impact page to see where the light is headed.

Can I give in other ways besides money?

Yes — you can donate high-demand items and sponsor the cost of shipping them to Zambia. See our Sponsor Shipping page for details.

Can I make my donation monthly instead of one-time?

Yes. Just toggle “Make this a monthly gift” on the donation form to set up recurring giving by card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. You can manage or cancel a monthly gift anytime from your receipt email.

Can I give in honor or in memory of someone?

Can I sponsor a child?

We don’t currently offer 1-on-1 sponsorship matched to one specific child with photos or letters. A monthly gift is the closest option we offer — it provides steady, ongoing support for school essentials, health needs, and everyday basics for children in our programs.
